hide my head I want' city of deadwood 'to drown my sorrow
home to the biggest, if you'd consider it, collection of houses in the whole area. Soil here prevents the surrounding foliage to flourish, even after the departure of its care-takers. You're more likely to see dead patches than anything. Small parks speckle cleared land, making potential hunting grounds.
buildings here still reek of smoke and piss. Food left behind on shelves have already reached their final decomposition stage if they haven't already been picked through. Alleyways snake between every building, providing sources of water and small game. Things get pretty eerie walking around at night, it's advised to keep one's guard up.
a looming, brick building once used as a slaughter house for chickens, cows, pigs and other livestock. Its foundation is starting to crumble, leaving exposed holes in walls for easy access. Light leaks through shattered windows on each of the three floors; machinery still stands in place waiting to be used. Behind the plant stands the holding cells as well as pens of the once living. Fields seem to stretch forever after that.
the hospital isn't that impressive at all, though it's the largest one in the county. Due to poor funding, most of the western wing is left forever under construction; dark and unused. Next door, St. Stevens doubles as an animal clinic and small ranger station. Most domestic dogs are all too familiar with the metal holding pens and the fenced-in runs in the back.
since school has been out for over six months, the building has really gone to the dogs. The small grounds provide overgrown sport's fields, a rotting dumping area and many abandoned classrooms to explore. To top it all off, the school has its own community pool, though this seems to be the source of all the parasites.
pavement kisses the bare ground as dusty, dirt roads wind their way through the mobile homes. Christmas lights and tacky lawn ordainment are still present, despite the flood. The water level in the southern half of the park is up to knee level but big game still seem to flourish. Most homes are left unlocked, arguably providing the best shelter in town.
the used-to-be docks of the town. All that remains are a run down ferry and a few boats. The smell of fish is disgusting, and all day the cry of seagulls can be heard from above. Be careful of your footing, some of the pier's floorboards have rotten through.
running, unknowingly to most, under Deadwood is a system tunnels and rooms used to bury the dead. These tunnels existed long before the town ever came to be, strange. Entrances to this system can be found all over town and often used as quick transportation to those who know how to use it. Damp, dark and wet, it's the most unexplored part of town. The Mortis pack have used these tunnels as their hideout since moving into the city.

I find it hard to tell you' countryside 'I find it hard to take
expanding at least forty-two acres past town, it's the forest it earned its name from. A great fire spread years before Deadwood was even a town, destroying most of the pines, firs and evergreens native to the area. Recently foliage has started growing back, restoring the forest to its rightful glory. Many wolf packs and big cats call this place home but are forced to move to the shrinking of prey.
the undeveloped part of Deadwood. Construction on this part has fully stopped, leaving machinery, metal, tools and other hazardous objects lying about. The buildings are falling apart. Caved in roofs let rain water in; making some structures too dangerous to sleep in. Though it might not seem like the ideal place, this is one of the most seclusive areas in the countryside.
a popular site among suicidal people, Druid's Leap is a rocky coastline a mile or two out of town. Mostly deserted, caves carved out by the sea provide shelter but no protection from the sea's winds. It's said that at dawn, it is often too misty to look out and see the horizon.
though you couldn't tell at first glance, the vast fields past the town were once productive farms. The over-grown fields provide excellent hunting grounds while wooden farmhouses are filled with nothing but pests. The land provides no shelter with its sparse trees and grassy brush.
fringed by pine and firs, lies a rather spacious fresh water lake untouched by the sea. Small rivers and streams snake off of it, providing a good source of food for those with the ability to fish. Though a excellent water source, the steepness of the surrounding land makes hunting difficult.
