it's astounding, time is
a world not meant to be
a world not meant to be
Before we can proceed, I must take you back. It's 1979. Nestled in the tall pines of the Eastern Canadian coastline is a place called Deadwood. People rich in heritage and pride, the sons and daughters of pioneers, try to put themselves on the map. Lush country side a stone throw away bring peace between man and nature. Indeed, it seemed like sliver-linings leaked through every window with the breaking dawn of a new day.
Life was simple while the world kept turning.
For as long as anyone can remember, time itself has kept on going. Human minds not capable of seeing our tiny existence is constantly hanging by a thread. But what happens when time itself stops? A glitch; the equilibrium rips itself apart.
A Tangent Universe is created.
That was the case for this sleepy little town. The fabric of our universe made a fatal error and created with it a new dimension. Things like this are incredibly rare, but when it does happen it leaves behind a unstable replica. It is unknown how long this new world will sustain itself, eventually consuming what created it and forming a black whole that could wipe out existence itself.
At first the town was barren; the people who called the place home seem to have fallen off the very face of the earth. Domestic dogs, lucky to have survived and unsure what to do, waited for their human companions to return. They soon realized that they were on their own.
The dogs took to the streets, going back to natural instinct of their wolf ancestors. They eventually formed packs and successfully ran the town.
But they were not the only ones...
Wolves, hunters who have lived in the shadow of the damned town, saw their opportunity to take the lands for themselves. These intentions enraged not only the dogs, but another party as well.
Once solitary creatures, feral felines of the countryside have made it clear of their big plans for Deadwood too. Tensions begin to rise as inheritance of the town is at stake. Freedom on a ongoing conflict against order.
Yet, the restless northern breeze still foretells more change.
The new residents will soon realize that they are not the only ones trapped here either. Parasites, monsters from the darkest reaches of hell, lurk the streets and wait. Able to re-animate the dead, and destroy the living.
Conflicting rivals will form, unknowing danger threatens the lives of all. Will you be able to restore balance of not only Deadwood but to time itself? A Universe within a Universe, a place never meant to be.
what will it take to survive?
